Summary
A Tier One Principal Contractor, operating throughout England and Wales, delivering multi-disciplinary buildings and civil engineering projects for Network Rail and other infrastructure clients, has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who will take on the responsibility of managing a diverse range of day-to-day project tasks within an asset management and maintenance framework. This role will focus primarily on civils asset management projects, on Civils Eastern CAM framework, based from our office in Sheffield. Work includes a range of projects such as structural steel & brick work repairs, bridgeworks, embankment stabilisation, culvert renewal, culvert lining and drainage renewals.
The Role
As a Project Manager, you will be directly responsible for the daily management of rail and civil engineering projects within our portfolio, specifically focusing on Civils Asset Management projects. The projects will typically range in value from approximately £250k to £600k. You will lead successful contract delivery by ensuring that the site team is well-informed of the contract parameters and possesses the necessary capability and resources to meet contract objectives.
Candidate Specification
- Operational management experience of reactive buildings asset maintenance framework with schemes typically between £1k to £100k
- Civil Engineering Construction work (at least 5 years) with strong knowledge of CDM
- In-depth knowledge of working within a railway environment
- Ability to lead and develop the operational reactive delivery team
- HNC / NVQ6/7 in Construction minimum or suitably qualified by experience
- Railway Safety Training - PTS or willingness to obtain
