The predicted salary is between 30000 - 50000 £ per year.

As a Programme Officer, you will play a key role in driving programme effectiveness to support ClientEarth’s work to use the power of the law to bring about systemic change that protects the earth for – and with – its inhabitants. You will provide essential project management, administrative, and financial support to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of our work across programme areas, with a primary focus on Food, Ocean and Land Use in Europe. You will also provide operational support to ClientEarth’s Innovation Lab. The portfolio is varied and will involve working on projects focused on litigation and advocacy, as well as in collaboration with a wide range of partners, including NGOs, law firms, scientific, technical and industry experts and individuals.

In this role, you will be managed by Chelsea, who joined ClientEarth in 2017 and is based in London.

Main Duties
  • Programme Management - Provide project coordination, administrative, and financial support across your designated programme.
  • Budget Management - Track and monitor expenditure against project budgets.
  • Monitoring, Reporting & Learning - Support data collection and analysis for tracking progress against programme objectives and grant reporting.
  • Partnerships engagement - Support relationships with external partners, including NGOs, law firms, and technical experts.
Role requirements
  • Background in a project management/coordination role
  • Strong knowledge of administrative and financial processes, procedures, and systems
  • Proven ability to track spend against budgets
  • Interest in environmental and human rights issues
