Company Overview

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Production Project Controller to join our team for a 12-month contract based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

Role Overview

The Production Scheduler will support the team by collating and processing data for schedule updates into and out of AIT. The candidate will create production schedules for projects within AIT facilities, illustrating project status, risks, and resource constraints.

Reporting Lines

• Report to: Production Control Team Leader

Internal Relationships

Collaborate with teams involved in Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Test at MAIT plants, including AIT Operations, Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, and Programme Management.

External Relationships

Coordinate with project operations in respective business units, project scheduling teams, design offices, and purchasing departments (both direct and indirect).

Key Responsibilities

1. Input into and maintain production schedules with support from project and scheduling teams.
2. Maintain the \’live\’ status of products in AIT production flows, working with area team leaders and managers.
3. Contribute to weekly capacity reviews through data collection.
4. Optimize factory resources and address bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
5. Monitor planning database to ensure reliable and realistic schedule development.
6. Perform schedule analysis to maximize future workload planning with external divisions and the AIT Business Manager.
7. Issue documentation according to the weekly reporting cycle, such as work-to lists.
8. Monitor drawing release activities and ensure adherence to schedules.
9. Continuously develop production scheduling tools and processes, collaborating across AIT and Stevenage organizations.
