Job Description:
The Procurement Business Partner is responsible for leading the development of strong relationships with business stakeholders to represent Procurement, ensuring that the function is delivering outcomes aligned with business priorities. The Business Partner will be embedded at senior level, ensuring that work pipelines are generated and visible to Procurement in advance, translating business needs into actionable procurement market-facing requirements. They will understand business plans and strategies across short, medium, and long term, presenting forward-looking solutions that meet strategic objectives. The Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor on all procurement matters.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the face of the Procurement function with Asset leaders, managing procurement issues effectively and escalating when necessary.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted procurement advisor.
- Identify collaborative procurement opportunities and potential benefits for the organization.
- Lead the integration of collaborative procurement strategies aligned with category management.
- Influence stakeholders to consider procurement policies in purchasing decisions.
- Develop and maintain a procurement plan for assets, CapEx, and OpEx, looking at least 12 months ahead.
- Ensure procurement understanding and embed processes across the organization.
- Support category teams in developing spend profiles and category strategies in collaboration with the business.
- Lead the annual procurement value planning process to align projects with business priorities and deliver benefits.
- Provide expert guidance on strategic procurement activities.
Requirements:
- Experience in a multi-stakeholder, multi-site environment.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Experience working with asset management and operations teams.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Successful track record in delivering procurement strategies and benefits, including cost savings.
- Experience implementing strategic procurement practices across categories.
- Leadership experience in complex environments with diverse user bases.
- People management experience.
- Experience supporting commercial bidding processes.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Exceptional planning, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills; advanced procurement process knowledge.
- Understanding of finance and contracting (preferred).

- Desirable: Direct gas industry experience.
