Staff Process Engineer II / III

Role Overview:

This role involves delivering high-quality process engineering design within proposals, studies, project execution, and operations, as part of a study and/or project team. The work must adhere to design and engineering standards, procedures, schedules, and budgets, with a focus on quality standards, targets, and customer satisfaction.

Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria):

Activities are dedicated to a specific project.

  1. Analyze project specifications, tender, and proposal requirements.
  2. Contribute to the development of design parameters and methodologies.
  3. Prepare technically correct, safe, environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and timely discipline engineering analyses and solutions for approval, including:
  • Design basis
  • Process description
  • PFDs and heat & material balances
  • MSD and material selection philosophy
  • Control schemes
  • Process and Utility P&ID’s
  • Equipment & instrumentation datasheets
  • Utilities and chemicals consumption summaries
  • Simulations and calculations
  • Provide support to all project activities, from engineering to start-up, as required.
  • Interface with other process engineering disciplines and design teams.
  • Assist in developing process knowledge databases for studies, projects, and operations by capturing and reporting events and experiences, and writing technical notes.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities as needed.
  • Report activities within studies, projects, and/or operations management.
  • Qualifications and Skills:

    • University degree in chemical engineering.
    • Theoretical knowledge of process design methods and tools.
    • Initial, solid experience in Oil & Gas Processing, Refining, and/or Ethylene/Petrochemicals, preferably with an engineering contractor.
