Our UHNW client is seeking a security officer to provide vigilant and professional overnight security for a large private estate, ensuring the safety of the main residence, outbuildings, entrance points, and extensive grounds including woodland and lakes. The estate is approx 450 acres but the majority of the focus for this role will be spent around the main residence and gardeners barn area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct regular patrols of the estate perimeter and grounds throughout the night (patrol vehicle provided).
- Monitor and operate security systems including CCTV, alarms and access controls.
- Respond promptly to unusual activity, alarms, or emergencies, following appropriate protocols.
- Ensure all buildings, outbuildings, and access points are secure during the night.
- Manage and log any visitors or vehicles accessing the property.
- Carry out routine inspections of security lighting, doors, windows, and structures.
- Liaise with emergency services as required.
- Report incidents, safety concerns or maintenance issues to the Estate Manager.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the privacy and safety of all estate occupants.
- Previous experience in a similar role on a private estate.
- Observant, and proactive.
- Comfortable working alone overnight with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Technologically confident - able to operate modern security and surveillance systems.
- Professional, discrete, and trustworthy.
- Holds a valid UK driving licence.
- Holds a valid SIA licence.
- Enhanced DBS check will be required.
- Accommodation if live in: A three-bedroom cottage within the grounds of the estate. There is a large rear garden, and private parking. Partners and well-behaved pets are welcome.
- Equipment Provided: Uniform and a dedicated security patrol vehicle for use on the estate.
- Estate office-based during the night shift.
