Privacy Compliance Officer

Support the Global Head of Privacy and Data Protection in implementing the Global Privacy and Data Protection Policy and framework.

1. Provide advice on the application of privacy and data protection law to business issues as required.
2. Participate and advise on data protection issues in firm-wide strategic initiatives.
3. Conduct privacy impact assessments to evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards, identify risks, and advise on mitigating actions.
4. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in data protection and privacy.
5. Partner with control and oversight groups to create, maintain, test, and monitor best practices for privacy and data protection controls.
6. Identify and mitigate data protection issues and risks.

Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a global privacy and data protection environment.
2. Familiarity with privacy and data protection laws across the client footprint.
3. Direct experience working in financial services is highly desired.
4. Experience or familiarity with conducting privacy risk assessments.
5. Ability to build rapport with key stakeholders to identify privacy risks and trends, and stay abreast of new products and initiatives.
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
7. Effective communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
8. Motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail.
9. Ability to develop solutions to problems, consulting with senior management when appropriate.
10. Commitment to acting with integrity and honesty.
