About the role

You will join an experienced team working with patients within a prison setting. Your duties will include a wide range of tasks, including taking blood samples, wound management, health screenings, and smoking cessation. You may also be required to assist doctors with minor surgical procedures.

You will work with patients who have an increased concentration of substance misuse and mental health issues, making your support vital to their health and safety.

To succeed, you should be a good listener with excellent communication skills. Since this role involves direct interaction with prison inmates, patience and the ability to work in challenging environments are essential. You must provide efficient, smooth service while remaining friendly and reassuring.

Qualifications and experience

Previous experience in a prison setting is essential.
