Job summary
We are looking for a Principal and Senior Avionics Design Engineer to lead our design efforts on exciting new customisation and retrofit projects.
Key skills required for this role
Important
Experience of design or engineering environment with avionic/electrical and mission system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of all avionic and electrical design initiatives.
- Perform Avionics Compliance Verification Engineering.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to address design challenges.
- Ensure design compliance with UK or UK Military regulations.
- Contribute to project timelines, estimates, and quotes with avionic and electrical expertise.
- Foster the growth and development of our avionic and electrical design engineering team.
- Innovate and refine design procedures to enhance efficiency and adapt to new requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- A solid history of avionic integration design adhering to EASA, UK, or UK Military standards.
- A deep understanding of aircraft systems and software safety analysis.
- A relevant degree in Aerospace Engineering, with a preference for avionics specialisation, or an equivalent engineering apprenticeship/training in avionics.
- Extensive experience in a design or engineering environment, focusing on avionic/electrical and mission system integration.
- Previous leadership experience in a senior design role.
- Experience as a CVE and acting as an avionic and electrical signatory.
- Proficiency in designing with AutoCAD and Enovia SmarTeam.
