We are working with a Cambridge based, award winning, mobile solutions company who is seeking a Principal RF Engineer to engage across various product phases, from initial conceptualisation to production support. Joining a tight-knit team, the selected individual will spearhead all RF aspects of our offerings, beginning with conceptualisation and system design, progressing through circuit design, PCB layout, testing, and eventual handover to production.
The ideal candidate for this Principal RF Engineer position will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design/Engineering or equivalent (minimum qualification)
- Proficiency in autonomous work, encompassing development and testing of new designs
- Extensive experience in RF design, spanning receivers, transmitters, and power amplifiers
- Preferably, familiarity with Cellular systems (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G)
- Desirable understanding of basic DSP principles
- Desirable grasp of Software Defined Radio principles
- Bonus: Embedded software development proficiency on PICs
- Strong grasp of electronics and specialised RF/Microwave Engineering expertise, extending up to 4GHz
