Do you want to work for a highly motivated local authority planning team that consistently delivers a high level of service? You will mainly be working from home, with the exception of site visits and key meetings. The office location can be discussed upon application. This newly created role is due to an increase in workload from ongoing development in the local area. The local authority seeks an experienced planner who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision. You will be required to work both individually and as part of a team to maintain the high level of service that the local authority currently operates.
To be successful in this position you MUST HAVE:
- Comfort working from home and using Microsoft Teams/Zoom
- Experience as a principal planner
Role & Responsibilities:
- Dealing with major/complex development proposals
- Providing support, guidance, and mentoring to junior staff
- Assisting the head of planning and managers in meeting national and local development management targets
