Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead/Principal Piping Engineer to join one of the UK\’s leading construction and engineering solutions companies on a long-term contract basis. This role will be a hybrid position with 2 days in the office at their Manchester location, and it is outside of IR35 scope .

The Lead/Principal Piping Engineer will oversee piping projects from conception to completion, requiring extensive experience in piping engineering to lead design activities. You will supervise a team, ensure compliance with standards, manage resources, and maintain technical excellence. This role is crucial in ensuring quality, safety, and the timely completion of projects, while driving continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review, approve, and prepare design/engineering documentation, ensuring adherence to company procedures and industry standards.
2. Lead the technical aspects of pipeline engineering projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
3. Supervise discipline personnel, delegate tasks, and oversee timely delivery of projects.
4. Stay informed about legislative requirements, industry trends, and technological advancements, providing informed guidance to clients.
5. Participate in safety reviews, technical meetings, and discussions with client engineers.

Experience:

• Bachelor\’s degree in Engineering or a related field; Master\’s degree preferred.
• Experience in engineering documentation coordination or similar roles.
• Thorough understanding of relevant codes, standards, and legislative requirements.
