Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Our Landscape, Masterplanning, Urbanism (LMU) team is looking for a Landscape Architect to join our growing team with a strong focus on LVIA/TVIA projects. The team consists of 90+ people offering the full spectrum of Landscape Architecture, Masterplanning, and Urban Design services. These range from Masterplanning, urban regeneration, strategic planning, design concepts, through to detail and implementation, as well as Environmental Assessment and LVIA/TVIA.

As part of our Environmental team, you'll help improve quality of life. Your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality, or noise, especially in some of the world's busiest and most beautiful locations. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. Given the effects of climate change, rapid urbanization, and biodiversity loss, our projects often address large-scale challenges like floods and wildfires.

You will have a strong focus on LVIA/TVIA projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams including our in-house environmental disciplines, high-profile designers, and external partners. You'll work on some of the UK's largest, most complex, and technically demanding projects, including major energy generation, transmission projects, residential, mixed-use developments, and infrastructure projects. Our portfolio also includes smaller projects, providing a diverse range of opportunities across private and public sectors, at national and local levels. You will be challenged and inspired by projects that demand innovative ideas and solutions. We value collaboration, talented colleagues with fresh perspectives, and a shared passion for sustainability and solving complex challenges.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong experience leading the preparation of LVIAs/TVIAs, landscape character assessments, and related studies, delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
  • Experience delivering LVIA/TVIAs across sectors like residential, transport, and energy infrastructure.
  • Experience engaging directly with clients and stakeholders during the preparation of LVIAs/TVIAs.
  • Experience managing staff and resources in project delivery.
  • Preferable experience with T&CP and DCO applications, including examination processes; expert witness experience is advantageous.
  • High-quality report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe CreativeSuite; BIM and Project Wise capabilities are a plus.
