About the role
You will provide strategic direction for our E&CC service, focusing on energy audits (including ESOS and EU EED-compliant audits), feasibility studies, building and process optimisation, energy management, monitoring and targeting, benchmarking, carbon footprinting, and developing Net Zero Carbon and energy strategies. In 2023, involvement in ESOS-related work for clients is expected, either as a Lead Assessor or survey support, depending on qualifications.
Positions can be based in any UK office (Manchester, London, Bristol, Devon), or can be hybrid or remote for the right candidate.

About you:
We seek an experienced consultant in Carbon and Energy Management with strong technical and project management skills, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree or higher in a relevant engineering field (Chemical, Process, Energy, Renewable Energy, Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical)
- Chartered status or working towards it (EI, IChemE, IMechE, IEE, CIBSE, or similar)
- Memberships in relevant professional registers or qualifications (e.g., ESOS Lead Assessor)
- Experience in energy assessments, audits, and surveys of various facilities
- Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and drivers like SECR, MGHG, CCA, EU ETS, EPBD, EED, and Building Regulations
- Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus
- Strong report writing, IT, and presentation skills
- Proven business development experience
Desirable skills include experience with low and zero carbon technologies, energy management software, and technical training delivery.
