Principal Consultant – Digital FM Advisory, Manchester

As part of the growth of the Arcadis Digital Advisory team, there is a need for a Principal Consultant to lead on the delivery of digital client projects/commissions and support the development of the Digital Asset Advisory team. Digital Asset Advisory sits within Digital Advisory.
This role is delivery and client-facing, with responsibilities including managing project delivery, supporting the growth of Digital Advisory capabilities, and pursuing Digital Asset Advisory opportunities within the FM space.
- Generate high-margin consulting sales by identifying, selling, and delivering propositions with sector core services.
- Service leads to exceptional client outcomes across multiple, complex capability areas and commissions.
- Highlight Arcadis thought leadership to the business and clients.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and well-being, embedding these within Business Advisory.
- Make a positive difference in the world and improve quality of life.
- Support community and non-project initiatives that help retain and attract top talent.
- Ensure timely completion of timesheets and sales pipeline updates.
- Deliver ~£k fees from opportunities, bid support, etc.
- Lead and deliver workstreams or small to medium projects (up to 4-6 people), achieving project and individual objectives.
- Promote Arcadis values and uphold professionalism and integrity.
- Manage up to 3-4 team members.
Qualifications & Experience:
Consulting
- Experience managing diverse stakeholder groups, including executives, clients, and external partners.
- Knowledge of change management approaches, methodologies, and tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in verbal and written forms.
- Proven project management skills with teams of 4-6 members.
- Experience in identifying client challenges and providing strategic solutions.
Commercial and Sales
- Experience in developing and converting sales opportunities.
- Ability to lead project delivery to achieve financial targets.
- Support business development through proposals and bids.
People
- Experience fostering collaborative environments and supporting team members\’ growth.
Technical (Digital FM Advisory)
- Experience in relevant industry sectors (buildings, government, defense, etc.).
- Knowledge of data standards (ISO, FMS) and enterprise asset management systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.).
- Understanding of asset and facilities management principles and practices.
- Ability to develop system architectures and establish governance and standards.
- Experience with technology implementations and digital transformation projects.
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques.
- Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
