The Solutions Engineering team at Envoy operates within the Customer Success organization and collaborates with various teams including sales, product, engineering, and finance. The team is adaptable, quick to learn new skills, and handles diverse tasks such as assisting account executives with pre-sales, addressing security questions, QA of experimental features, and resolving customer issues. It encompasses sales engineering, API development, support escalations, and enterprise customer support. Ideal candidates are technology-forward, enjoy exploring SaaS products, creating workarounds for customer satisfaction, and engaging with the latest technology.

This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days/week (Monday – Thursday) in our London, UK office.

You will

  • Collaborate with the Sales team across various segments to support pre-sales activities, including technical demos, security assessments, and technical discussions, often co-leading efforts in upmarket segments.
  • Coordinate with customer’s IT, security, and legal teams to ensure compliance and security standards.
  • Serve as a bridge between customer-facing teams and Product, Engineering, and Design, voicing customer needs in product development and ensuring aligned implementation.
  • Investigate data and logs to identify and resolve product bugs.
  • Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to influence product development based on customer insights.
  • Educate colleagues on complex technical topics such as SAML, SCIM, OAuth, Active Directory, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Gain expertise in Envoy’s Developer & Integration Platform to demonstrate and explain integration capabilities and assist customers and partners with API development.

You have

  • 6+ years in Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Technical Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Partner Engineering; or 7+ years in Technical Account Management.
  • Intermediate SQL skills and ability to investigate issues using data.
  • Familiarity with git and command-line tools.
  • Basic understanding of APIs; knowledge of API architecture is a plus.
  • Ability to write simple Ruby and/or Python scripts for troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to travel for prospect or partner engagements as needed.
