On behalf of our client, a leading fit-out firm based in London with a turnover of £10m, we are seeking an experienced Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager. This company specialises in Design & Build (D&B) fit-out projects and is renowned for delivering high-quality solutions across various sectors.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will be integral to managing and estimating projects from concept through to completion. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, overseeing the pre-construction phase, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for D&B fit-out projects.
- Manage the pre-construction phase, including coordination with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Analyse and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Conduct site visits and feasibility studies.
- Prepare and present comprehensive proposals and reports.
- Monitor project budgets and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as an Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager within a fit-out firm, with specific experience in D&B projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, project management, and construction processes.
- Excellent analytic, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in construction or engineering is desirable.
