We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and capable Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join a team developing reagents and point-of-care tests for pandemic diseases, including MPOX and Henipavirus. You will be responsible for designing and executing experiments to develop and evaluate diagnostic tests related to pandemic diseases, managing your own research and administrative activities. This includes small-scale project management to coordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines. You will support grant writing efforts with the team and work towards independent submissions, ensuring all laboratory health and safety documentation is maintained and up to date.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in virology, diagnostics, infectious disease, or related fields.
  • Demonstrable research experience in university, public health, or industry laboratories.
  • Sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to contribute to established research programs.
  • Ability to manage independent research activities effectively.
