Job Description
We are recruiting a Platform Materials Coordinator for our client in Aberdeen.
The role involves managing all aspects of material control, coordination, purchasing, and expediting for Assets/Platforms, ensuring compliance with all relevant company and industry safety regulations. The coordinator will be part of a multi-skilled service operation that delivers core platform logistics and service requirements, including deck operations, helideck operations, and ER support.
Work schedule includes one week holiday cover starting 11th June 2024, followed by a 3 weeks on/3 weeks off rotation from 4th July 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and control of materials and logistics, collaborating with the Deck Team Leader to plan vessel arrivals, distribute incoming materials, and backload outgoing materials, prioritizing operational needs.
- Ensure all equipment and materials arrive with proper documentation.
- Manage backload equipment and materials, ensuring correct documentation, SAP Material Master/Project numbers, and vendor details. Highlight high-cost rental equipment as needed.
- Source and purchase stock equipment and consumables according to stock replenishment policies and operational guidance.
- Maintain the platform stores management system, including stock control, issues, receipts, and order tracking.
- Serve as the focal point for Material Master updates in liaison with Aberdeen Materials.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore personnel to prioritize outbound shipments.
- Maintain and distribute the vessel lookahead and load-out notification lists.
- Administer the air-freight request system.
- Handle dangerous goods by air and sea, ensuring compliance with waste management legislation.
- Ensure purchases follow procurement processes and delivery schedules.
- Conduct regular stock audits and re-order as necessary.
- Expedite return of hired equipment to minimize costs.
- Maintain platform stocks of lube and seal oils and gas cylinders, conducting weekly stock checks.
- Maintain an auditable procurement system for the asset.
