Job Opportunity: Plant Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Plant Manager working with a leading UK construction manufacturer with a large network of sites across the country. This position is based at its brand-new site in Bordesley Green, Birmingham .

As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the operation of a facility supporting all aspects of the construction production environment, ensuring Health & Safety is prioritized while meeting the production needs of our customers.

• A salary of up to £43,000
• Company van and fuel card
• Hours of work: Mon – Fri, 6:00 – 15:00, and alternate Saturdays, 6:00 – 9:00
• 31 days holiday per year
• Permanent contract
• Managing a range of machines and leading a multi-skilled team, supporting daily operations of the production facility
• Leading a team of four: one Assistant Manager and three operatives
• Managing staff and external contractors
• Producing construction materials according to quality standards
• Hands-on position: performing all operational roles (mixing, shoveling, weighbridge, etc.) daily
• Complying with all health, safety, and environmental systems and reporting procedures
• Inspecting and maintaining areas in accordance with local health and safety standards, working within Standard Safe Operating Procedures

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in a construction production environment such as asphalt, building materials, concrete, or aggregates
• Experience operating a weighbridge and loading shovel
• Understanding of industry health, safety, and environmental standards
• Ability to work effectively within a busy team environment
• Fitting skills or mechanical experience is advantageous
• Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic regarding working hours
