People and Culture Director

Location: London

The People & Culture Director will take the lead in shaping the human resources landscape for a rapidly expanding premium F&B brand based in London.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and nurturing the HR team, offering strategic insights into talent acquisition, development, and retention to support the continued growth of the business.

Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, you will collaborate closely with the senior management team to ensure HR policies align with regulatory requirements and contribute tangible value to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns seamlessly with our business growth plans.
  2. Collaborate with the leadership team to plan, lead, and execute people-related projects across the organization.
  3. Establish the brand as an employer of choice, utilizing innovative methods to attract and retain top-tier talent.
  4. Foster a high-performance and development culture, overseeing quality performance conversations and promoting excellence.
  5. Drive effective succession planning and cultivate a well-resourced talent pipeline to meet current and future business needs.
  6. Champion employee engagement by evaluating, identifying, and addressing engagement trends, and measure the successful implementation of initiatives.
  7. Provide expert guidance on various people matters to business leaders and line management.

Experience Required:

  1. Proven track record with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Head of HR role within a fast-paced, growing commercial F&B or retail business.
  2. A degree and/or HR qualification (CIPD level 5 minimum).
  3. Strong experience in building and maintaining culture within rapidly growing organizations.
  4. Ability to quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence.
  5. Non-political approach and ability to work effectively at multiple organizational levels.
  6. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
