We are seeking a talented payroll director to join our growing Powered HR practice. This is a high-profile role within the team and will consist of a combination of business development/sales origination and client delivery responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in payroll implementations. They will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team.
The Team Powered Enterprise is KPMG’s world-class accelerated Enterprise Business Transformation approach for cloud-based solutions that uses pre-designed back-office leading practices and KPMG’s six-layer Target Operating Model. It enables clients to make better, faster decisions, resulting in a quicker implementation and a faster path to Return on Investment. This solution combines the breadth and scale of KPMG’s leading practice, capabilities and insight into a complete solution for an effective service management back-office solution.
The Powered Apps teams are communities of technology focussed professionals who work together to deliver KPMG Powered Enterprise through a standardised delivery model, which drives professional delivery to clients. The teams use their functional knowledge and experience (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement), coupled with their expertise in the cloud applications (e.g. Oracle, Workday, SuccessFactors, Microsoft) to lead and deliver client programmes, support pre-sales activities and develop improvement and extensions to Powered Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of high-quality payroll deployment projects.
- Provide specialist payroll advice and work closely with client leads to optimize processes and maximize the benefits of a new payroll solution.
- Advise clients on the transformational aspects of payroll in relation to operating model, and relevant process execution.
- Lead business development and sales initiatives, including bid, proposal, and contract/commercial negotiations with our payroll clients.
- Lead the growth of the Powered HR practice through sharing knowledge, developing thought leadership, and supporting the career aspirations of team members.
- Proven experience successfully delivering payroll programs.
- A track record of selling payroll solutions.
- Advanced functional understanding of payroll products.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to provide clarity to complex issues and synthesize large amounts of information.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in HR leading transformation projects, leading workstreams, and managing teams.
- Experience producing project deliverables (business requirements, functional specs, configuration documents, process flows, use cases, requirements traceability matrices, etc.).
- Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with varying team members.
