Job Description:
Role – Paraplanner/ Senior Administrator
Salary – £45,000
Location – London
This is a brilliant opportunity for a technical and professional individual to take on a new role within a well-established Financial Planning firm.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hold certificate in or working towards relevant financial planning qualification
- A good understanding of the financial planning processes
- Able to work within defined business processes
- Strong report writing ability and experience
- Ability to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision
- Ability to carry out needs analysis and make recommendations to Adviser
- Good all-round financial services experience – ideally gained with an IFA
- Flexibility and tenacity
- Understanding of general compliance and FCA requirements
The role offers excellent scope and shall include:
- Preparing and maintaining client files. You will carry out research for the Practice Principle
- Discuss client objectives with Practice Principle
- Provision of technical expertise
- Ensuring all compliance, risk profile and product provider paperwork is present
- Identify and obtain the information necessary to compile financial planning options
- Present completed file to Practice Principle
Preparing recommendations, to:
- Identify areas for planning
- Undertake research to identify suitable solutions to meet the clients’ needs
- Prepare information/comparisons for analysis
- Liaise with client’s legal and tax advisers (if applicable)
- Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profile
Implementing recommendations:
- Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations
- Complete application forms and proposals
- Ensure all compliance paperwork is in order
- Submit file for compliance checking and address any issues raised
- Make changes to clients’ investments as instructed
- Submit paperwork to provider(s) to ensure agreed investment strategy is implemented promptly and correctly
Review:
- Act as main technical point of contact and deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties through effective communication
- Establish and build strong relationships with clients
- Organise future planning meetings with client
- Send planning figures to client for update and revision in preparation for next meeting
- Prepare post-review summary letters for issue to clients
