We are working with a leading provider of food packaging solutions in the UK. They are committed to excellence in manufacturing, quality, and customer satisfaction and are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Production Manager to join the business. You will be responsible for leading and optimizing all manufacturing operations within the site. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, maximizing efficiency, and ensuring the achievement of critical KPIs related to production, quality, safety, and cost.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes within the packaging industry, coupled with exceptional leadership and analytical skills. The working hours for this role are 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

The Role
  • Lead all manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and HR.
  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Monitor and report KPIs: OEE, throughput, waste, delivery performance.
  • Optimize resource allocation and production scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and cross-functional collaboration.
The Person
  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5 years in manufacturing leadership, ideally within packaging.
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in manufacturing systems and data analysis tools.
  • Preferred ERP/MRP experience.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £55K - £65K and is dependant on experience. Overtime is paid at an enhanced rate. Generous holiday allowance, annual bonus, company car, early finish Fridays and more!
