We are looking for a dynamic Orthopaedic Practitioner/plaster technician who can work as part of a team consisting of 2-3 technicians, providing a complete orthopaedic technical service to the Surgical and Anaesthetic Directorate and guidance to any other service group within the Trust. You will work effectively as a member of the clinic nursing team to ensure the provision of the highest standard of patient and customer care. You will become part of a talented, dedicated team committed to providing the very best in orthopaedic and orthopaedic trauma injury care.
Main duties of the job:
- Be a part of a team consisting of 2-3 orthopaedic practitioners/plaster technicians, providing a complete orthopaedic technical service to the Surgical and Anaesthetic Directorate and guidance to any other service group within the Trust.

Person specification:
Qualifications:- BOA (British Orthopaedic Association Registered)
- RCN (Royal College of Nursing)
- AOT (Association of Orthopaedic Technicians)
- Experience of working with children aged 0 – 16 years
- 2 years post qualification in an outpatient orthopaedic setting
- Experience with Talipes - working with children aged 0-16 years
- Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm towards teaching and sharing knowledge
- Understanding of own Knowledge and Skills Framework and ability to identify learning needs and interests
- Ability to self-reflect, carry out tasks of own job and identify what s/he needs to learn to do current job better
- Ability to take an active role in agreed learning activities and keep a record of them
