The Recruitment Co is recruiting experienced Order Pickers & Goods-in Operatives for a distribution client based in Hyde.

The Job Roles:

Goods-In Operative:

This role involves unloading containers and other vehicles, checking deliveries against notes, doing spot checks, and storing stock. It requires physical fitness as it involves walking, lifting (5kg to 30kg), and working at heights up to 8 ft. Duties include housekeeping and vehicle loading. Weekend overtime may be required during busy periods.

Order Picker:

This role involves picking orders from sheets, which list products in numerical order, with order sizes varying from 1 to several thousand pieces. It involves walking, lifting (5kg to 25kg), working at heights, and vehicle loading/unloading. Physical fitness is necessary.

Working Hours:

Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00 (breaks: 10 min, 20 min, 30 min lunch)
Friday: 09:00 – 16:00 (breaks: 20 min, 30 min lunch)
Breaks are unpaid.

Pay Rates:

Basic pay: £12.21/hour, increasing to £12.31/hour.
Overtime on Saturdays: time and a half.
Overtime on Sundays: double time.
