At The Club, Whitburn are now looking for bank staff to support within our club. The club hours are Monday to Thursday 2pm to 6pm, and Fridays 12 to 6pm, this is Term Time, and through the school holidays there will be additional hours. This role is a zero-hour contract, working as Bank Staff when we need support within our club. Salaries are based on zero-hour contract at up to £14.43 per hour depending on experience and qualification, together with great benefits.
At The Club, Whitburn, we focus on engaging young people through play, with a strong emphasis on the outdoors, all designed to spark curiosity and imagination. We pick up from four local schools in the Whitburn/Bathgate area, including Whitdale Primary, Croftmalloch Primary, Polkemmet Primary, and St Joseph’s Primary, and can offer ad hoc sessions for parents and carers requiring childcare.
Young people at The Club can enjoy a range of activities and open play opportunities in our vibrant setting which includes a bespoke creative space and areas to relax and socialise. Our brilliant team each bring a wealth of experience to the club and set up fun daily activities, often inspired by ideas from our young people, from messy play to woodwork.

Requirements

As a Nursery Assistant (Bank Staff) you will:

1. Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
2. Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
3. Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments.
4. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor always.
5. Work within a team to support all children and team members within your room.
6. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the curriculum are being met.
7. Ideally have an Early Years Qualification or experience of working with the Under 5s.
