At our Murrayfield Nursery in Edinburgh, we are recruiting Nursery Assistants to join our team as Bank Staff, supporting the nursery as needed, covering staff holidays and sickness. This is a Zero hour contract with competitive salaries up to £14.43 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, along with benefits.
The Murrayfield Nursery, part of CC Nurseries, is based in Edinburgh. Our busy 90-place nursery offers a home-from-home environment, led by a passionate team. We feature hand-picked resources (natural where possible) to encourage self-directed play and discovery. Outside, there\’s a large, secure outdoor space with a fire pit, fishpond, outdoor classroom, and a dedicated area for the youngest children to enjoy fun activities.

Requirements

As a Nursery Assistant (Bank Staff), you will:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources appropriate to children\’s ages and stages of development.
• Support the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of children.
• Assist in implementing an effective key person approach to help children form secure attachments.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, parents, and visitors at all times.
• Work collaboratively within a team to support all children and team members.
• Understand and meet the requirements of the curriculum.
• Ideally hold an Early Years Qualification or have experience working with children under 5.
