The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

Managing the design, documentation, and implementation into BAU for network & voice services covering many service providers for the IP/MPLS SCADA network. You will play an important role as the business integrates services into private and public cloud environments, focusing on automation and orchestration of services amidst the convergence of IT and OT. We seek candidates with technical expertise across multiple areas, including requirements gathering, high-level and detailed design creation, automation of configuration, delivery, support processes, and project ownership.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop and help design and implement IT/OT network infrastructure.
  • Design and support solutions specific to our Communications market, including LTE Roaming, Caller ID, messaging, SS7, and mobile signaling services.
  • Design solutions such as large-scale SD-WAN, IPSec, MPLS VPN, IP multicast, and cloud interconnects across wired and wireless communications.
  • Collaborate with vendors for solution evaluation, customization, and provide third-level support for incidents and operational maintenance.
  • Monitor industry advances to assess impacts on architecture and assist in technology adoption.
  • Develop standards and policies related to technical architecture.

Essential Skills

  • Familiarity with SCADA network infrastructure and protocols.
  • Experience with carrier multiplexers (TDM & SDH), modem configuration, serial protocols.
  • Experience with LAN switches (Avaya/Extreme/Ruggedcom).
  • Experience resolving spanning-tree issues.
  • Designing complex multi-vendor IP networks.
  • Proficiency with MPLS, SD-WAN, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF.
  • Experience with network features like NAT, VRRP/HSRP, and mobile, fiber, satellite, radio networks.
  • Ability to produce detailed network diagrams with AutoCAD & Visio.
  • Flexibility to work hours and provide on-call support.
  • Experience with AAA, Tacacs+, Radius, PKI, VoIP, wireless, load balancing, IPSec, IP Multicast.

Scope

You will collaborate with various support teams and partners to implement and improve networking and voice solutions, focusing on resilience and threat management.
