Multi-Trade Operative
Banbury – covering the Banbury and Cherwell area
£35,387 – £37,249 per year
40 hours per week
Our client has an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join their Operations Voids/Responsive team, based in Banbury. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out general repairs to both void and tenanted properties, as well as fitting kitchens and bathrooms. The role will include both team and lone working, and you will attend up to 10 sites a day. They are looking for a team player with experience in a previous trade role; however, training will be provided where needed.
Responsibilities
- Attending properties to carry out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties
- Resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
Skills and Experiences
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented – G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). If you have a lower-level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of our client, we would still welcome an application.
- Experience in working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Previous experience in some of the following – carpentry, plumbing, plastering, floor laying (vinyl sheet preferred), fitting external doors, and windows
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
