You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the MEP team on the project(s), providing clear direction, guidance, and ensuring compliance with Mace standards.
- Managing the successful delivery of MEP services, including programme, health & safety, quality, and commissioning.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, trade contractors, and team leaders.
- Leading in tendering, providing technical and commercial support, and ensuring resource needs are met.
- Establishing procurement strategies and overseeing contract reviews, budgets, and trade contracts.
- Supporting design reviews for compliance, coordination, and energy considerations.
- Implementing delivery strategies, managing project milestones, interfaces, and logistics.
- Overseeing commissioning strategies and digital productivity assessments.
- Supporting project close-out activities, including as-built drawings and client training.
- Identifying risks and developing mitigation plans.
- Managing large teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and delivering performance management.
- Contributing to the company\’s net zero carbon goals by managing associated emissions and reductions.
You’ll need to have:
- Advanced knowledge of engineering systems, standards, and processes.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, planning, and commercial management.
- Experience with health, safety, and quality assurance.
- Proven track record in managing large projects (>£50M MEP value).
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Formal engineering training (HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent), SMSTS, and CSCS card.
You’ll also have:
- Experience from diverse technical backgrounds/sectors.
- Accreditations with CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE.
