Due to growth, our client is looking to add a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities on a new build residential scheme in Brentford, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality output.
As a Mechanical Supervisor your role will include but not be limited to:
- Manage resources: Ensure adequate labor and materials, storing them properly for minimal waste and safe work practices.
- Quality assurance: Oversee work to meet British Standards and client expectations, ensuring adherence to manufacturers’ specifications.
- Health, safety, and environment: Ensure compliance with regulations, confirm CSCS card for operatives, and implement method statements and risk assessments.
- Communication and issue resolution: Liaise with managers to address problems, inform customers of sequence issues, and report challenges promptly.
- Documentation: Record delays, collect variations, and maintain up-to-date site safety files, including daily diaries and mandatory forms.
- Project coordination: Work closely with site managers to stay on schedule and within budget, coordinating with operatives for recommended work completion.
- Supervision and training: Supervise site labor, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies, and develop key roles within the team.
- Site maintenance and administration: Ensure cleanliness, conduct regular site walks, oversee timesheet bookings, check materials against delivery dockets, and interpret construction drawings for material schedules.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Supervisor with a rival contractor.
- Holds a valid CSCS Card.
- Holds SSSTS.
- Experience working on residential projects.
- Trustworthiness, reliability, conscientiousness, and a strong drive for career progression.
- Highly motivated individual with excellent teamwork skills.
- Consistent employment record, with a minimum of two years at each employer.
