Your new role
Your new role as a Mechanical Design Engineer will involve producing preliminary sales drawings and fully detailed models and drafts. You will compile instruction and parts handbooks, design equipment that meets safety specifications, and ensure products meet quality and customer standards. Maintaining a tidy work area and adhering to health and safety regulations will be crucial. You will also be expected to foster a cooperative working environment and ensure efficient allocation of production time to the correct jobs. Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed.

What you’ll need to succeed
What you’ll need to succeed is a degree in Mechanical Engineering and over three years of experience in mechanical design within a heavy engineering company. Proficiency in 3D modelling for manufacturing and technical knowledge of hydraulic design for mobile machinery are essential. You should be able to work well as part of a team, solve problems effectively, communicate clearly with managers, colleagues, and customers, and organize your work activities efficiently. A positive attitude towards health and safety, quality of goods produced, and the use of information technology is also required.
