We have exciting opportunities available for an encouraging teacher to join our tuitions scheme across Whitby!
About the role:
Prospero Teaching works with local authorities and schools across Yorkshire to support students struggling with education. We aim to provide 1:1 support tailored to the student’s needs to promote learning and progression.
The tuitions are fully flexible and can be conducted online or face-to-face. You can choose your schedule, with sessions available from 8 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday!
We support students from Early Years to Secondary School. Please let us know your preferred key stages for tutoring. You can support students from as little as 2 hours per week up to 40 hours per week, depending on your availability.
Some roles we have available:
- YO21: 6 hours per week – Year 11 student requires support with Math, English, and some art as mentoring.
- YO18: 6 hours per week – Year 10 student requires support with Math and English.
- Online: 5 hours per week – Year 5 student requires support with Math and English.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a thorough understanding of the core subject curriculum (supporting subjects such as Math, English, Science, or Functional Skills).
- Create a positive and motivating work environment to promote confidence and motivation.
- Establish a good rapport with students and be accessible.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to each student’s needs.
