The Global Markets In-Business Risk (IBR) team is responsible for market risk across asset classes within Citi’s Global Markets division. The role focuses on a cross-asset portfolio risk coverage arising from market activities.
What you will do:
- Identify key market risks within trading inventory through data analysis and communicate results daily with leadership. Assist in designing hedging strategies.
- Monitor performance and understand drivers of market movements across asset classes, analyzing trends for risk assessment.
- Understand the firm’s risk appetite, limits, and capital framework to optimize risk allocation.
- Develop a holistic understanding of risk implications on capital attributions like Stress Losses and Value-at-Risk.
- Support analysis of return on capital and risk appetite ratios.
- Collaborate with independent risk teams to set and monitor risk limits.
- Enhance risk monitoring, control, and governance processes, and assist with regulatory inquiries.
- Work with Technology teams to develop risk monitoring frameworks and propose optimizations.
What we will need from you:
- Experience in Trading, Structuring, Research, or Data Analysis roles focused on Market Risk management.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income, equity markets, and product structuring is beneficial.
- Cross-asset market knowledge and effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication, analytical, and quantitative skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Bloomberg, Tableau; programming skills in SQL and Python are preferred.
- Educational background in Engineering, Statistics, or Finance (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
