Primary Purpose: The Manager, Visual Merchandising (VM) is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of VM for Tapestry’s brands across Europe. Reporting to the Senior Director, Visual Merchandising EMEAI, the Manager will lead and develop a team of Visual Merchandisers and provide consistent direction to ensure VM standards are met across all channels and markets.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Visual Merchandising to:
- Manage a team of in-store and regional Visual Merchandisers, provide regular training and feedback and communicate clear guidelines to align with brand standards and strategy
- Regularly visit stores within the region to ensure VM is consistent with global expectations
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners including Area Managers, Buying, Marketing, & Store Operations to plan and execute monthly floor sets
- Attend weekly trade meetings to review sales and identify areas of opportunity, partner with Area Managers and Store Managers to create and deliver action plans where necessary
- Manage clear and effective communication between Corporate and Field VM teams
- Develop a clear understanding of local market trends & customer profiling and adapt global guidelines for local businesses
- Lead and facilitate VM for new store openings, showroom set up, pop ups and events
- Plan daily visual merchandising maintenance for stores in partnership with store management
- Support showroom set up during markets and global marketing initiatives
- Keep up to date on regional trends, utilizing business reports and competitor analysis
The accomplished individual will possess:
- Previous experience in visual merchandising at manager level within retail/fashion, with people management and development expertise
- Ability to create strong visual presentations using creative and commercial skillset
- Ability to interpret visual merchandising presentations and relay to store teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel & PowerPoint), Adobe InDesign & Photoshop
- Effective communication and relationship building skills
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, flexible to last minute changes & requests
- Experience partnering with Buying teams to plan product assortment
- Confidence, motivation and resilience
- Experience working in Central European markets is desirable but not essential
- Flexible to travel regularly in Europe
