Manager – Corporate Simplification Team
We are searching for an experienced Manager for the Corporate Simplification Team.
Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role in driving the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.
At the heart of Consulting are six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our solutions create an enhanced tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their own career paths.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Corporate Simplification Restructuring Advisory team.
You will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of commercial skills and experience across corporate reorganisations and Members Voluntary Liquidations within the team. The primary focus of the role is based in London; however, we operate a national practice, so the successful candidate could be located anywhere in the UK and work alongside Partners and Directors throughout the country.
The role will involve attending marketing events and working with Partners and Directors to support their marketing and business objectives. The position encourages growth and career development, with a clear path of progression.
Responsibilities:
Our new colleague will be responsible for the following (but not limited to):
- Complete assignments according to the Firm’s procedures and statutory obligations, including client arrangements, costs, and billing.
- Work closely with other Corporate Simplification staff to plan and execute assignments, managing cases in accordance with procedures and obligations.
- Assist and support the Corporate Simplification team, providing training and support to colleagues.
- Prepare and seek approval for engagement letters, ancillary documents, and take-on procedures.
- Complete KPIs for Partner/Director approval.
- Ensure diary lines are completed in compliance with standards.
- Review and approve documents across systems.
- Handle general case administration, including billing.
- Understand projects fully alongside the team and other departments.
- Attend initial client meetings and analyze information received.
- Manage large corporate reduction projects and asset realisations.
- Prepare statutory reports.
- Contribute to team development through networking and technical skills.
Personal and professional qualities:
Our new colleague should be CPI or JIEB qualified with previous experience in a similar role, capable of leading Members Voluntary Liquidations. We require excellent technical, analytical, and report-writing skills, along with strong interpersonal skills. To succeed, you will also need to:
- Build and manage stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
- Prepare or analyze financial information.
- Have experience in Corporate Simplification or similar roles.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Commit to high-quality delivery within deadlines.
- ACA or similar qualification is an advantage.
