Responsibilities/Duties
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks and perform breakdown maintenance of machinery, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Read engineering drawings to assist with the construction, assembly, and fitting of plant machinery/parts.
- Report completed tasks efficiently using our maintenance software.
- Conduct daily maintenance inspections to ensure all plant equipment is operationally safe and compliant with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Support the operational team to meet operational efficiency targets.
- Assist in controlling stock levels of spare parts on-site and report this information to the Operations Supervisor/Manager.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Company.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with at least 3 years of apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering.
- Enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering challenges.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and determine appropriate methods and sequences of operations.
- Demonstrate an analytical approach to investigations and a practical ability to resolve engineering problems.
- Experience in fabrication tasks using MIG & electrode welding and gas burning equipment.
- Flexible working hours, including participation in shift work, weekends, and breakdown/Call-out cover to facilitate maintenance when equipment is available.
- Valid driving license is desirable but not essential, as the role may involve travel between sites as required.
