JOB PURPOSE

To lead the Concrete Products division by developing a strategic plan to ensure growth aligned with the group\’s ambitions, along with managing the Profit & Loss responsibilities for the division. The role involves achieving operational targets while maintaining our core values. The successful candidate will drive the division forward and help achieve overall business and Group objectives, creating sustainable growth and fostering effective stakeholder relationships.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role within Maen Karne includes:

  • Responsibility for Bulk haulage, Ready Mix Concrete, Quarry, and Muck away operations.
  • Assisting with setting business budgets.
  • Chairing operational meetings.
  • Full P&L responsibility within your remit.
  • Leading and coaching your team to success.
  • Supporting commercial teams in surpassing budget goals through effective relationship management.
  • Implementing performance management processes as per company policy.
  • Ensuring operational targets are met and exceeded.
  • Maintaining compliance and legal duties related to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, fair, and legally compliant workplace.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A passion for improving HSEQ activities.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a management role with P&L responsibility; comparable experience will be considered.
  • Proven ability to drive business growth, profitability, and cost efficiency.
  • Hands-on leadership style with financial acumen.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills at various organisational levels.
  • Effective time management and deadline adherence.
  • Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service.
  • Understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
