Locum Consultant Stroke Medicine – Sussex

Job Description:

The Medicine department based within a trust in Sussex is looking for a Locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine to start in April for an initial duration of 1 month.

Core working hours will be Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00, with on-call duties on a 1:5 weekends and 1:5 weekdays basis.

The job plan will be based on 10 PA’s, including 8 DCC’s and 2 SPA’s. The responsibilities include daily work on HASU, attending stroke calls, assessing patients for thrombolysis/thrombectomy, managing TIA clinics, outpatient stroke clinics (both virtual and face-to-face), daily board rounds, MDT meetings, rehabilitation WR, and MDT. These duties will be shared among colleagues to ensure continuity of patient care.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• GMC license to practice.
• NHS experience in Stroke Medicine and Thrombolysis.
• Specialist Registration in Stroke Medicine.
