The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Loss adjusters are instructed by their Principals to undertake detailed and thorough investigations regarding a claim, determining if payment is warranted, negotiating a financial settlement, and authorising payments to the Insured. Once the Insured makes a claim on their insurance policy, you will first investigate the claim in order to determine if the claim is legitimate and whether the policy covers the damage/loss.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a loss adjusting function for all claims and develop existing skills to assist with other areas of loss adjusting as required.
  • Receiving and acknowledging new instructions from clients.
  • Undertaking site visits, meeting with Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers, Claimants, Insureds and other interested parties predominantly in the UK and possibly Europe.
  • Preparing reports and e-mail advice commenting in detail on all aspects of the claim, reviewing policies and contracts and planning and recommending future actions.
  • Instructing and controlling third party experts and others as necessary.
  • Communicating regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving payments, and other communications.
  • Calculating and agreeing settlement of claims and preparing accurate final reports.

Assist in and develop the effective marketing of Charles Taylor adjusting including:

  • Developing working relationships with existing Clients.
  • Assisting with the identification and planning approaches to new Clients.
  • Assisting others with their marketing functions.
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of presentations to Clients.
  • Hosting and attending social events.

Required Skills

  • 2-5 years experience as a Liability loss adjuster.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Good team player with the ability to work independently.
