We are seeking an experienced Lending Product Manager to join our team.
HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man (CIIOM) supports both expatriate clients (HSBC Expat) and local customers across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. This role offers the opportunity to be a key member of the Retail Banking Product team based in Jersey.
The role involves implementing strategy and managing lending products daily.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing, monitoring, and evaluating key business metrics such as profit, brand, resources, cost, and performance to drive revenue, identify commercial opportunities, and ensure sustainability and scalability.
- Creating business cases to support the development and launch of new products, projects, and initiatives to grow market segments and meet business objectives.
- Overseeing lending processes with a focus on policy, process, risk, and control management, including planning, reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Ensuring lending policies and processes are fair, compliant, customer-centric, and commercially sustainable throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners, managing dependencies across teams and projects, including UK-based colleagues and global product management.
- Making prompt, practical business decisions and driving innovation based on customer feedback. Analyzing and measuring existing processes to develop sustainable improvements that enhance customer satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in Product Management, Proposition Development, or Project Management.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple work streams.
- Experience in balance sheet management with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to analyze financial, market, and competitor data and make informed recommendations.
- Skill in interpreting management information to improve customer service and develop innovative, customer-focused strategies.
