The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
To manage and lead a team of Legal Cashiers whilst ensuring that cashiering duties are carried out with professionalism and accuracy in line with the SAR and Company procedures. You will act as the main point of contact for your team providing expertise and support where required. You will act as an escalation point for client queries and complaints where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- To be both responsible and accountable for your team
- To ensure clear and effective leadership and communication
- Lead Weekly Team Meetings
- Lead Monthly 1:1 Competency reviews
- Lead Client Escalations
- Contribute to Team Leader Meetings
- HR Centric tasks; Interviews, Return to works, holiday requests, performance management, Training requirements
- On-boarding & Training of new Cashiers
- To provide cover for colleagues in their absence
- Ensuring compliance with department SLA/KPI, including but not limited to; Updated Site sheets/site Coordination/Site allocation/capacity Bank Statements Queries VAT Returns Weekly compliance reports Month ends Legal Aid submissions Statutory deadlines, LAA, VAT, HMRC, SAR
- Maintain a good working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules, SLC, LAA and HMRC
- On-board new Pinpoint clients in line with departmental expectations
- Provide support to colleagues and other Dye & Durham departments as required
- On-site visits to clients
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- At least 4 years legal cashiering experience
- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
- Thorough working knowledge and understanding of the Solicitor Account Rules and other relevant regulatory bodies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high accuracy
- Confident working independently and collaboratively
- Motivated to continually learn and develop
- Highly organised and ability to plan and manage own workload
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members
- Good understanding of Legal Aid
- Good understanding of Excel
- Good understanding of the Unity Accounts system
