At Capital City College (CCC) we are dedicated to transforming lives through exceptional education and training. Our focus is providing our learners with the skills to be successful in their futures, whether that is continuing in education through higher education, or an apprenticeship, or supporting them into a higher-level job.

About the role:

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation in Sport, Fitness, and Public Services? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer to join our vibrant team, delivering exceptional teaching and support to our learners across a range of courses from BTEC Level 1 to Level 3 and YMCA qualifications. You will predominantly be based at our Angel campus but occasionally could be asked to work at our campuses.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Teach engaging and dynamic lessons, preparing and marking high-quality learning materials.
  2. Guide and mentor students, providing tutorial support and welfare advice.
  3. Organize and supervise educational visits, work placements, and field trips.
  4. Assess students’ progress through both formative and summative assessments, ensuring adherence to national standards.
  5. Act as a key point of contact for students, supporting their journey from induction to career progression, including UCAS applications and references.
  6. Contribute to the development of innovative course materials and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum.
  7. Maintain accurate records, uphold high-quality assurance standards, and participate in internal moderation.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. A passionate educator who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  2. Commitment to delivering equality and diversity in education.
  3. Strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on safeguarding and student welfare.
  4. Ability to engage with employers, universities, and awarding bodies, supporting students in their work experience and future ambitions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the CCC team who are passionate and dedicated to providing our students with the best possible teaching and training to fulfil the futures best suited to them. We recognise how hard our people work towards ensuring our students are supported throughout all areas of their college experience, and thus we provide an excellent set of employee benefits.

At CCC we are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in all our activities for everyone who learns and works here. We respect and value differences and welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds. We create a safe and trusting professional environment where people are treated well and equally.

We are committed to safeguarding and protection of young people and adults and follow Safer Recruitment processes. All successful candidates will need to complete a DBS check, with some roles requiring an Enhanced check.

Our values Respect, Aspiration, Collaboration and Opportunity are the key ideas and principles that people within our organisation and our partners believe are important. They sum Our Purpose: why we do what we do, and Our Approach: how we go about our work.
