Lead Solution Architect – OpenEdge

Akkodis is partnering with a leading service provider to recruit an experienced Lead Solution Architect with expertise in OpenEdge technology, D, and Power Platform.

Note: This is a fully remote role. Candidates must be eligible for security clearance (current clearance not required).

The Role

Lead the design and development of innovative solutions, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop cost-effective, secure, and scalable solutions. Responsible for overall architecture, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.

The Responsibilities

• Design and review solutions using OpenEdge, D, and Power Platform.
• Establish governance and principles at the project level.
• Create conceptual and logical architectures to meet strategic objectives, documenting systems, architectures, process flows, and value chains.
• Support bid and tender responses.
• Govern and design solutions from inception through delivery and handover.
• Scope, assess feasibility, and define solutions, leading design and configuration.
• Coordinate technical and non-technical streams within programs to ensure successful delivery.
• Assist Project/Programme Managers in understanding risks, dependencies, and issues affecting projects.

The Requirements

• Background in software development.
• Experience with OpenEdge technology.
• Experience with CRM Dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics, CRM, cloud, databases, and programming languages is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining solutions and decision rationales to technical and non-technical audiences through documentation and presentations.
