Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offers challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.
KBR is looking to recruit a Lead Safety Engineer on a 12-month contract based in Leatherhead, Surrey.
On Offer:
- Competitive hourly pay rate
- Outside IR35, highly likely so engagement through a LLC is permitted
- Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
Responsibilities / Experience:
- As part of a project team, perform all aspects of Technical Safety scope area, or provide specialist expertise in one or more key project areas.
- Supervise and lead the Technical Safety team: provide technical direction over a group with responsibility for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower-level professionals.
- Lead the design of larger and more complex assignments.
- Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
- With appropriate experience, lead the project Technical Safety team.
- Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and any work placements.
- Expert level understanding of one or more areas of Technical Safety scope.
- Able to check and confirm completeness of deliverables including safety layouts and reports.
- Minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15+ years.
