pmactuarial specializes in Actuarial search within UK Life insurance. We have been asked to find a Lead Investments Business Partnering Actuary on behalf of a specialist BPA provider. The purpose of this role is to serve as a bridge between finance and investments, ensuring clear explanation of how investment and trade decisions impact the company's balance sheet.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing analysis of the financial implications of new trades, transfers from/to the MA portfolio, and other hedging and risk management activities.
- Understanding cashflow matching of the MA fund and supporting AoM if required.
- Ensuring the MA fund operates in accordance with the MA application and PRA regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the Head of Business Partnering, Chief Actuary, and CFO in other ad-hoc investment projects.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, qualified Actuary with previous experience in capital, risk, ALM, or investments. Knowledge of illiquid assets would be advantageous but is not essential.
