Lead Engineer - CFD Methods

Joining this team will accelerate your career. We are seeking a Lead Engineer – CFD Methods to join our Silverstone facility. You will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering CFD capabilities to our Aerodynamics department, enhancing existing methodologies or developing new ones. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the CFD Methods team.
• Develop and improve CFD methodologies for better accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with aerodynamicists, CFD, and software engineers to optimize processes.
• Work with the correlation team on experimental data analysis.
• Ensure CFD simulations align with tool capabilities.
• Establish best practices for meshing, turbulence modeling, and solver settings.
• Select and evaluate CFD software and tools.
• Oversee the maintenance and support of CFD toolkits.
• Contribute across various CFD disciplines, including process, flows, thermal modeling, and pipeline development.
• Stay updated with advancements in CFD technologies through research.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in a similar role within motorsport.
• Strong knowledge of fluid physics, turbulence modeling, and numerical methods.
• Programming skills in C++, Python, Java, or VBA; experience with STAR-CCM+ and open-source CFD codes.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
• Timely, accurate work with minimal errors.
• Effective communication with stakeholders and directors.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
