Job Description:

Role Purpose: Design, plan and execute studies in support of technology or process/product development projects with well-defined scope and timelines. Analyse study data to drive conclusions.

Key Accountabilities and Duties:

  1. Develop innovative and robust intensification strategies for protein purification.
  2. Perform process modelling and manufacturing cost analysis to benchmark process intensification strategies.
  3. Define the requirements for integrated protein purification in a manufacturing setting and create the development plan in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  4. Develop procedures to ensure equipment and unit operations are compatible with integration and automation.
  5. Define the strategy for the monitoring and control of integrated protein purification.
  6. Setup integrated purification process at lab-scale in collaboration with automation and digitalization specialists.
  7. Independently design studies, collate, evaluate/analyse and interpret complex data sets to achieve project targets.
  8. Write and execute detailed study plans with associated timelines.
  9. Author technical reports and publications with scientifically supported conclusions and recommendations.

Skills:

  1. Maintain accurate and timely records to appropriate quality standards for self and team, prepares high-quality technical analyses and reports for internal or external use.
  2. Support team resource planning, project management activities and prioritization decisions.
  3. Adhere to good laboratory practices and support housekeeping and maintenance activity.
  4. Maintain documentation describing configurations and setup of integrated process, process flow sheets and cost models.
