Are you looking for an opportunity to lead a dynamic inventory process? In this pivotal role, you will provide inventory excellence, completing everything from cycle counts and auditing to receiving processes and warehouse management. Provide problem-solving expertise by identifying and resolving inventory challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations. This position offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to make a significant impact on business efficiency. 40 hours a week Monday – Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and promote all aspects of health, safety, and risk management within the department.
- Coordinate departmental workflow as needed.
- Maintain stock accuracy and associated data, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure proper utilisation of MRP and other company software to support production.
- Actively participate in meetings and provide solutions to issues.
- Provide performance feedback to inventory/receiving/kitting team members.
- Identify issues with standards and work instructions, notifying appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Maintain 6S compliance in all relevant areas (Goods In, Warehouse, Quarantine).
- Direct the work of department members, including completion of mandatory training.
- Support production during surge periods to ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage staff holiday/absence reporting in accordance with company policies.
- Complete all company-mandated training requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the company process for suppliers.
- Execute the company process post QA acceptance.
- Compile, complete, and present company reports.
- Identify, manage, and dispose of slow-moving stock.
- Deliver company cycle count processes and lead annual stock counts.
- Demonstrate stock amendment processes competency.
- Operate forklifts (qualification required).
- Manage the company system.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to perform all responsibilities of Receiver/Inventory 2 position.
- Expert knowledge of warehousing operations.
- Ability to train new associates including direct instruction/tutoring.
- Strong logical reasoning and mathematical skills for precise stock management.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a critical degree of accuracy.
- Proficient product knowledge.
- Experience in inspecting, testing, and adjusting units to meet specifications and requirements.
Qualifications:
- GSCE/NVQ or equivalent education.
- Minimum 1 year of inventory/warehouse management experience (3-5 years preferred).
- At least one year of product knowledge at Starline preferred.
- Must have performed duties of Receiver/Inventory Clerk 1 minimum (Receiver/Inventory 2 status preferred).
- IOSH managing safety certificate (or ability to achieve).
